Next up in our senior highlight series is 18EP player Ruth Tullis. Ruth is a senior at Oklahoma Christian School and is has earned numerous academic awards throughout her high school career. Next year, she is committed to play volleyball at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Go Pioneers!
Ruth’s Senior Season Awards include: Chisholm Trail Conference 1st Team All-Conference, Carl Albert All-Tournament Team, Oklahoma Christian School Varsity Co-Captain, 4A Regional Champions, and the OCS Saints Pride award for Volleyball.
Ruth’s other awards include: OCS Tennis Regional Champions, OCS Tennis State 3rd Place, Oklahoma Peak Performance Award, AAU Volleyball Academic All-American, OKRVA All-Star Championship Team, and Chisholm Trail Conference 2nd Team All-Conference.
Ruth’s parents say “throughout the last 8 years at Peak Ruth has developed her volleyball skills, learned teamwork, and discipline. She has learned how to work under pressure and has developed life long friends. She has had the opportunity to coach and train the next group of young Peak players as well. We have been blessed that through volleyball Ruth has learned these life long skills that will benefit her as she begins a new chapter in her life.”
Ruth’s long list of academic achievements include: National Honor Society Stole, Magna Cum Laude Medal, Music Honor Chord, Leadership Honor Chord, OCS Saints Pride Award, Hugh O’brian Academic All-Star Award, Principal’s Honor Roll, Headmaster’s Honor Roll, National Honor Society, Distinguished Christian High School Student Award, OCS Diakonis Character Award OCS Computer I Award, OCS Music Leadership Award, and OCS US Government Award. While at Smith College, Ruth plans to major in Computer Science pursuing a career in coding for professional volleyball.
