It’s that time again to start highlighting our talented seniors! Starting off the series is 18 Elite player Megan Branson. Megan is a senior at Santa Fe High School and has earned numerous academic awards throughout her high school career. Next year, she is committed to play volleyball at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. Roll Storm!
Megan’s Senior Season Awards include: COAC 1st team All-Conference, Heather Harkness All-tournament, Large West All-State, AVCA All-Region team, The Oklahoman All-City Team, 2023 AVCA Girls Best & Brightest 1st Team, Student Athlete of the Game, Varsity libero and team captain, and Santa Fe Most Valuable Teammate Award. She lead her school team in aces, digs, and serve receive rating.
Megan’s other awards include: USAV All-Star Oklahoma team, Shamrock All-Tournament team, All-Conference honorable mention, 6A regional Champion, and was a varsity starter since her sophomore year.
Megan’s parents say “it has been a joy watching Megan grow as a player and person. She is a fierce competitor that works extremely hard on and off the court. We are very proud of all her accomplishments and look forward to what her future holds.”
Megan’s list of academic achievements include: Oklahoma HS Honor Society, National honor society, 4.2 GPA, Renaissance Scholars Award, Valedictorian, and the AVCA Best & Brightest award. While at Southern Nazarene, Megan plans to major in Nursing pursuing a career as a travel nurse.
