Senior Highlight: Mayli Whetter

Only a couple more seniors left! Today’s highlight is our only 17 Elite senior, Mayli Whetter. Mayli graduated from Piedmont High School and is committed to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. Go Bronchos! Take a look at some of her achievements from the last four years.

Mayli’s Career Awards and Honors:

(Senior) All-State Large West, 4 year Varsity player, Varsity, Team Captain, COAC Second Team All-Conference, Choctaw Tournament All-Tournament team, Stillwater Tournament All-Tournament team, Vype Player of the Week, Heather Harkness Award. (Junior) 2024 Heather Harkness Award, Varsity Player of the Year – Piedmont Highschool Volleyball, Varsity, Team Captain, , Coweta Tournament MVP, All-City Honorable mention, All-Conference Honorable Mention. (Sophomore) Suburban Conference Honorable Mention.
In addition to volleyball, Mayli was a member of the Golf team and a high jumper for the Track Team. She was also awarded Superintendent Honor Roll all four years of high school.

Mayli’s parents say “[she] has demonstrated leadership skills, in everything she does. She has a compassionate nature, and takes pride in her loyalty, work ethic, dedication to her family and friends and in all that she does. We are impressed by Mayli’s growth over the years, a testament to her commitment to her passion for self-improvement. We are proud of her accomplishments and knowing that she will continue to soar to new heights. Mayli’s passion for singing, dancing, and laughter is contagious. Mayli spreads joy and positivity wherever she goes, but also appreciates her quiet time, all qualities we love and admire about her.”

After pursuing a degree in biology and dentisry, Mayli hopes to become a pediatric dentist.
