Today, we are highlighting 18EP player Beth Bayless. Beth is a senior at Regent Preparatory School and is a member of the volleyball and tennis teams. Next year, Beth is committed to play volleyball at the University of Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner!
Beth’s Senior Season Awards include: MVP Pinnacle Conference, All-State Small East, Senior Leadership Award, Regent Varsity, Port City Classic All-Tournament Team, Broken Arrow Invitational All-Tournament Team, Vype Players to Watch, Under Armour All-American Camp Selection, Prep Volleyball 2020 High School All American, Special Mention.
Beth’s other awards include: (2018) Pinnacle Conference Honorable Mention, Tulsa World Player of the Week, Coweta Invitational 2018 All-Tournament Team. (2019) First Team Pinnacle All-Conference, Tulsa World Player of the Year Finalist, Tulsa World Player of the Week, VYPE First team, Lincoln Invitational All-Tournament Team, Port City Classic All-Tournament Team, Regent Varsity Team Christian Leadership Award. (2020) First Team Pinnacle All-Conference, First Team Tulsa World, MVP Port City Classic, Broken Arrow Invitational All-Tournament Team, Claremore Invitational All-Tournament Team, VYPE Player to Watch.
During her senior year, Beth set new Regent Career Records with 2,119 Kills, 5.39 Kills per set, .314 hitting percentage, and set new Single-Season Records with 740 Kills, 5.92 Kills per set, .344 hitting percentage. In January of 2021, Beth set new Regent Single-Season Records: 632 Kills, 5.69 kills per set, .342 hitting percentage.
In addition to her athletic endeavors, Beth is part of numerous clubs and has received several academic awards including: Three-time Magna Cum Laude National Latin Award Finalist, two-time Declamation Speech Contest Semifinalist, Regent junior with highest GPA, selected to carry gonfalon at graduation and is currently on track to be valedictorian of the senior class, Beta Club, President (sr.), VP (jr.), member (soph.), student Council Class Representative (9-12), Hoby Youth Leadership Ambassador Sophomore Year, South Tulsa Baptist Church youth leadership team. Beth plans to study Humanities and Pre-Law at OU.
