Greg Dewey
Bio
Greg, a co-founder and original board member for Peak, has been involved with coaching for over 30 years. Originally learning to coach in Indiana, Greg coached for Munciana for several years, primarily coaching 18-2’s and 17-1’s.
Greg later moved to Oklahoma where he won a high state championship with Heritage Hall and co-coached at Oklahoma Christian Schools with Peak co-founder and former UCO head coach Mark Herrin. Greg was also an assistant head coach at the University of Tulsa in the early 2000’s.
Since moving from Indiana, Greg has coached 11’s, 14’s, 17’s, and 18’s for Peak. In the 2011-2012 season, Greg’s 14-1 Smack team won the Colorado Crossroads national qualifier and then qualified for the Open division at the ShowMe national qualifier. The 14-1 team went on to finish 11th in the Open division at the USA Volleyball National Championships. The 11th place finish by 14-1 Smack continues to be the highest Open finish of any Oklahoma team at nationals. In addition, his 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 teams have earned two national qualifier bids each year.
Greg helped develop the foundational character principles that Peak’s triangle is founded upon. As a pastor, he believes volleyball is a way to impact kids well beyond the sport.
Greg, who is married to Alicia, has four children.
