Bio

Bill Hamiter has coached volleyball for 41 years. He served as a coach at Southern Nazarene University and University of Central Oklahoma as well as the Head coach at Southern Nazarene. In his 5 years at Southern Nazarene his teams earned 5 District Championships and 2 National Tournament appearances. Bill coached at Heritage Hall High School for 5 years winning the state championship three times and runner-up twice. Hamiter has coached and directed junior club volleyball for numerous years with teams appearing in several National Tournaments. Bill has coached sitting volleyball since 2001 serving as the USA Men’s Head Coach, Women’s Head Coach, and Program Director. During his tenure his teams have played in 4 Paralympic Games earning a Silver Medal in London and Gold Medals in Rio and Tokyo. Hamiter has been a coaching clinician and has instructed in both the standing discipline and sitting discipline around the US, in Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, Iraq, as well as for Mongolian, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Iran, & Iraq delegations in the USA. He has had two DVDs published, “Stop Running in Circles! Play Games to Warm Up” & “Cross Training Using Sitting Volleyball” by Championship Productions.
